Abstract

The establishment of houses of worship represents how religious harmony exists in a community. The practice of harmony in the establishment of a house of worship shows the harmonization of relations between people in the community. This study explores cases of the practice of harmony through the establishment of a house of worship based on local wisdom that occurred in the Kei Islands, Maluku. The problems studied include; a description of the practice of harmony in the establishment of houses of worship, optimizing the function of local wisdom in the establishment of houses of worship and the participation of various elements of society related to harmony through the establishment of houses of worship based on local wisdom. Qualitative-descriptive research with a case study approach. The case of the chosen house of worship is the establishment of the Al-Manafi Mosque, Dian Pulau (Ohoi) Village, Hoat Sorbay District, Southeast Maluku. Field findings indicate the practice of harmony in the construction of the mosque because it involves the active participation of various elements of interfaith society. In the committee structure of the mosque establishment, there are even 15 names of non-Muslim committee members. Local wisdom functions optimally as the basis that forms the practice of this harmony. Kei's local wisdom, starting from the philosophy of ain ni ain, the customary law of Larvul Ngabal, the spirit of fanganan, to the practical forms of maren (gotong royong) and yelim (helping each other) optimally work to build collective awareness and the driving force that overcomes differences in faith, until the realization of the practice of harmony. All elements and levels of society, both individually and in groups, as well as the government, gave active participation in the establishment of the Al-Manafi Mosque, so as to create the practice of harmony among religious believers through the establishment of the house of worship.

Abstract

Students’ digital literacy has become crucial in society 5.0, but it also brings negative effects on students’ development. Character education comes to reduce the drawbacks of using technology, particularly the religious character. MTSN 1 Sidrap was selected as it develops students’ digital literacy through the integration of e-learning Madrasah and Google Meet. It also supports students’ religious character since it is a Madrasah, offering more religious subjects than junior high schools. This study used qualitative research with a semi-structured interview to obtain in-depth data. The participants in this research were three teachers. They were one female Mathematics teacher who is also an ICT (Information and Communication Technology) teacher and two male Islamic teachers. This study found that students’ digital literacy has met the standards required by the curriculum. However, students’ digital culture and ethics need more attention since students have an opportunity to access inappropriate content and plagiarism. The religious character could overcome such issues by implementing religious dimensions, particularly religious belief, ritual, devotion, experience, and knowledge. Moreover, the dimension of religious ritual reveals that although students practice the pillars of Islam, it does not practically make students stop doing things that are forbidden by the Islamic religion. Hence, the indicators of students’ religious character in the curriculum that focuses on students’ religious rituals or practices are inadequate. The dimensions of religious devotion and experience are crucial in describing students’ attachment to Allah, which can increase students’ awareness to avoid behaviors that violate Islamic teachings.

Abstract

The purpose of this strive study is to reveal the implementation of core values principle of Buginese culture from three perspectives, namely of philosophy, religion, and moral perspective. The Buginese culture belongs to the Bugis people. Bugis people are a community that occupies the area of South Sulawesi alongside the Makassar, Toraja, and Mandar ethnics. They live in harmony and form social systems and institutions. As an ethnic that dominates the population of South Sulawesi, the Bugis ethnic strongly maintains their culture. This can be seen in their principle of core values in the Buginese culture. The core values of Buginese are also a reflection of their worldview in this life. This study aims to uncover 1) the principle of core values of Buginese ethnic through their cultural ideologies, and 2) the aspect of philosophy, religion, and moral perspectives behind their principle of core values. This study utilizes the Cultural Semantics theory with an interpretive qualitative method, which relies on its analysis of the descriptive meaning of expressions. The results of this study indicate that the principle of core values of Buginese culture is awake because they practice the cultural heritage of their ancestors by actualizing it in a contemporary context. The implication of this research is that a cultural-value is maintained when culture has a dynamic aspect to the needs of the cultural.

Abstract

The legal force of digital evidence submitted by litigants in divorce hearings in religious courts is the background for this research. The method used in this study is normative legal research with a normative analytical juridical approach to judges' decisions in divorce cases as the object of research. So that researchers can answer problems by conducting literature research from relevant legal sources. The judge's consideration in deciding the case is in the law relating to Marriage, the stages of the trial procedure, the legal basis of the case, the legal basis for evidence, the legal basis for the reason or cause of divorce, and the legal basis for the authority of the judge. Meanwhile, the position of digital evidence itself as one of the evidence of confessions that is stamped and used by the judge as the main case for the cause of divorce. The judge did not use Law No. 11 of 2008 on electronic information on digital evidence but focused on Jurisprudence which gave birth to rules on the examination of divorce on the grounds of Article 19 letter (f) of Government Regulation No. 9 of 1975 jo Article 116 of the Compilation of Islamic Law, where the doctrine that must be applied in divorce cases is not "Matri Monial Guilt" but "Broken Marriage" or precisely the outbreak of the household "Az-Zawwaj Al-Maksuroh"  so that the court does not focus on whose faults are the triggers for the dispute, but emphasizes the condition of the household itself.
